Good Christmas!
Ho Ho H
ideyoshico! It's December 25th and that means just one thing - a
Hideyoshico batch! Plus like, all the religious stuff I guess. Anyway tonight we've got Hideyoshico's latest published volume - or more correctly we've got the remainder of it. Basically her new tankobon is called
Nennen Saisai, and consists of the following:
Kingyo Sukui (oneshot we've already done
here),
Derashine no Hana - three chapters plus an omake and some other things, and
The Komukai Household (another oneshot which we've done
here).
And you may now find
Derashine no Hana below. It's a very touching story about the relationship between a god of death and an immortal dude, and as one might expect things get very bittersweet as events progress. Hideyoshico is on proper form - the story is solid and the art up to her usual standard, and overall it's just a really good story which we hope you'll enjoy. So please to be clicking:
Derashine no Hana [complete]
Seeing as the batch above is just the Derashine no Hana chapters without the stuff we've done already we've called the batch "Derashine no Hana" even though the volume is properly called "Nennen Saisai." Hopefully you follow. It's a totally stand-alone story but it follows on from Kingyo Sukui in some regards, so you might wish to refresh your memory of that story first (mediafire | sendspace). Also the story here is a bit more reference-heavy than the usual, so we've put proper TL notes on a separate page at the back of each chapter for what I think is the first time. So look out for those!
Anyway that's all we've got for now! Hopefully this gives you something you can enjoy on Christmas if you're sick of the bad television, ugly sweaters, having to be around your loved ones &c. And this is in fact all we've got for this year - by this stage we're fairly exhausted so we're going to take a little break to recover our spirits. So the next post will be on January 12th, 2014, where we'll have the final two Kurayami chapters plus maybe some other stuff.
Finally we'd like to wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year, and to extend our thanks to you for sticking with us for another year. See you all in 2014!
